Wish you a happy Diwali

This Diwali is special as it Coincides with our fourth wedding anniversary. As the bangalore streets come alive with rich and prosperous pattakke celebrations,Sidhdhique, our neighbor's son gave Niya a jolt with his pottas gun that made a shot sound as opposed to recorded gun music that he usually flaunts.

Bangalore has lot of money judging by the uninhibited celebrations from all around.

I was hoping to go for a small unplanned outing as part of our anniversary celebrations but the fever, sore throat, chest congestion, fatigue , head ache and cough pinned me to my bed in my sweater.

I watch helplessly as my weekend is slipping past through my hands inconsequential.I wanted to go out and do some anniversary shopping - shelved due to sick health.Going out is not an option - so how about seeing a movie at home - watching TV for long time gives you a bad headache. Can't read a book either. Can't play with my daughter either as she is not sick. Our maid has prepared good-looker chicken curry but my doctor has instructed me a mild diet.Wanted to buy some sweets - again dietary restriction.

The only solace is the sickness itself - an escape from routine. And if it really persists, may be a sick leave...
